Materials

The Simco Eaves System can be manufactured from pre or post coated materials, steel and aluminum. However the most popular choice is aluminum, which can be fabricated then treated by an internationally recognised coating process to enhance the appearance and prolong the life of the material.
Coating systems include anodising, PVf2 paint coating and the most popular, polyester powder coating. All of these coating systems carry the anodiser's or paint manufacture's warranty.

Soffit

Soffit designs have a tendency to fall into two distinct categories that often determine their own requirement. These are narrow soffits and wide or deep soffits.

Narrow Soffits - The narrow secret fix plank soffit is a fast fixing system that is appropriate for traditional and modern architecture; it is not a problem to allow for building tolerances and movement within the design.

Wide or Deep Soffits - The Simco Eaves System offers a secret fix tray or cassette in a wide range of modules to cover the requires expanse. the cassette covers a larger surface area than a narrow plank creating a finish, which is in character with contemporary architecture.

The choice of materials method of manufacture and jointing provides a flush or flat line appearance. There is no ripping, oil canning effect or sagging that is associated with thin and basically jointed systems. The design of the wide or deep soffit system can easily accommodate the modular requirement of curtain walling and other architectural grid patterns.

Eaves Fascia

The architect has an almost unlimited choice of shapes and sizes to complete the eaves design. The choices include a fascia with a number of different bends to create a feature or bullnoses which can be shallow, deep, circular or elliptical in design. Concealed jointing systems provide a smooth transition from the fascia or bullnose to the interface with the soffit.
